Paleo who?

Hi  ! 🙂

First let me tell you something about myself :
I’m a vibrant person with a huge passion for delicious food and for health.
I consume as little raffinated sugar as possible ’cause they do me no good. I noticed very positive effects on my health when I stopped eating refined sugar. Although I still didn’t feel as energetic as I know I could.
Since I’m diagnosed with a gluten , cow milk and egg sensitivity, things made sence to me.
I started to eat completely gluten, cow milk and egg free and started feeling way more energetic.
In the beginning it was quite difficult to make such drastic changes in my diet. Then I found out about Paleo. (and consequently Paleo recipes inspired me and helped me through!)
Paleo lifestyle is based on the notion that for optimal health, modern humans should go back to eating real, whole unprocessed foods that are more healthful than harmful to our bodies.

Over the past 200,000 years, humans have biologically adapted best to whole foods: plants, meat, seafood—all of them packed with the nutrients our bodies evolved to thrive on.Agriculture came on the scene a mere 10,000 years ago—a tiny fraction of our evolutionary history—and there simply hasn’t been enough time and evolutionary pressure for humans to completely adapt to eating modern foods like wheat, sugar, chemically processed vegetable and seed oils, and other “Neolithic” foods. It’s not a coincidence that many modern diseases of civilization—including autoimmune disorders such as food sensitivity, cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, and rampant obesity—have accompanied the global spread of industrialized food. That’s why the Paleo approach emphasizes returning to a more ancestral approach to eating.

What to eat on the Paleo lifestyle

Sometimes I have legumes and I even use processed oils from time to time.  And when invited with friends or family I don’t expect them to have “Paleocharm” approved food. Therefore I can’t say that I eat a 100% Paleo. But for most part I do. And I’m feelin’ GOOD! 🙂 Looking better. Fresh plant foods take precedence over meat, but still... where is the starch? Root veggies under-represented.
